How did you hear about Metro Idol?
Where and which night did you perform your Preliminary?
How long have you been singing and when did you realize your passion for singing?
I have been singing since I was 5, I knew I always wanted to be a doctor, I still want to be a Dr. of Music.
Tell us something interesting about you. Could be anything from random/hidden/rare talents,
upbringing, challenges you’ve faced or moment(s) from your childhood, etc. This is where you
can express what you would like us to know that sets your apart!
I started recording, producing and engineering myself when I was 17 and was signed to a small label. I continued to work and grow with many producers (Chris Godbey, Jrock Harmon, Madukwu Chinua, and Hal Fitzgerald),
I shelved myself to focus on being a Mom at home. I continued to work on the side singing
jingles for local studios and production houses. I sang for Bill Tillmans Band, and David Whitman
Band for 9 years. Currently I still sing with Stop 6 Jazz Band under the direction of Buster Brown
Legend Rick Rigsby. This is rare as Rick is fighting for his life for congestive heart failure as of
now. I love to sing and my whole family sings, writes, and plays instruments, it’s just how it is.
My daughters came into this world signing, and I could never hold a candle to how amazing
their talent is. God has truly blessed me with a musical life. I really just want to give it back to
him for the rest of my life in what ever way I can. My dream is to put out a bi-lingual Christian
Gospel album and raise money to help minority community dreamers go to college, young teen
single moms who have been abused need help believing that someone has made it through just
like them and it’s possible to make your dreams come true despite what they have been
through. I did it, and would love to continue to mentor young ladies who have the same passion
